Neha J. Patel, D.D.S. M.S. is a Board Certified Periodontist. She obtained a B.S. in Human Physiology,
Magna Cum Laude, from Boston University in 1999 and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry in 2004. After graduation, Dr. Patel completed a one year general practice residency at the VA hospital in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Patel worked in private practice for a year, then she attended Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry where she received her training in Periodontics and Oral lmplantology and has been working in private practice as a specialist since 2009. She is an active Adjunct Faculty member at Harrisburg Area Community College.
Dr. Patel believes in giving back to the community and as a result has found a passion in volunteering with several dental outreach programs within our community and abroad. She has been involved in Dental missionary trips with the Dorcas Medical Mission to the Commonwealth of Dominica's (2005) and to Ghana, West Africa (2006). Over the past few years, Dr. Patel has also been volunteering her dental expertise in Harrisburg at Hamilton House and in Gettysburg with (M .O.M.) Mission of Mercy outreach program. In February 2014 Dr. Patel traveled to Honduras to participate in a Dental Outreach program with (C.A .R.E.) Central America Relief Efforts (http://carolmartin2014.wordpress.com/) where she provided dental services for underprivileged children. She hopes to do more outreach programs in the near future.
In her free time, Dr. Patel enjoys trying new restaurants, biking with the Harrisburg Bike Club and exploring new hiking trails in the area.
